2026 Dr. Allen Robinson Distinguished Service Award Recipient: Pam Shadel Fischer
During the 2026 conference, we were proud to present Pam Shadel Fischer with the Dr. Allen Robinson Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her more than 40 years of leadership and outstanding contributions to teen driver safety. Throughout her distinguished career, Pam has advanced policies, programs, and research that have improved the safety of young drivers nationwide. Her leadership in strengthening New Jersey's Graduated Driver Licensing system, developing the Share the Keys parent-teen program, founding the New Jersey Teen Safe Driving Coalition, and contributing to national initiatives through the Governor's Highway Safety Association (GHSA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and co-authoring Not So Fast: Parenting Your Teen Through the Dangers of Driving has had a lasting impact on teens, parents, educators, and the traffic safety community. We congratulate Pam on this well-deserved recognition and thank her for her commitment to saving lives and improving roadway safety.
