"Yellow Brick Road to Safety" Wichita, Kansas 2023 ADTSEA Conference July 16-19, 2023
Thank you to those who attended the 67th Annual ADTSEA Conference! There were 156 attendees, 20 exhibitors and 13 guests. We hope you enjoyed your time, learned a lot, and brought back new ideas!
During the conference 5 half-day workshops were conducted on the AAA curriculum, using classroom technology, classroom and BTW teaching theories, and teen drivers with barriers to BTW instruction. A full day workshop was devoted to State and Program Administrators to address issues in driver education and explore solutions for improving programs. Sessions included lessons learned in youth traffic safety, how to prepare for the safe system approach, underserved students, newest research on how we learn, applying what we learn from a crash scene investigation to driver education, creating an advisory board, updates in virtual reality and vehicle technology, and effectively setting up a blended program to name a few.
We would like to thank the ADTSEA Conference Committees for planning a wonderful conference and the Kansas Host Committee for the host outing at the Chicken and Pickle and door prizes. We would also like to thank the ADTSEA Executive Committee and Board of Directors for leading the membership toward a successful year! The presentations from the conference are available on the ADTSEA members-only page!
