2011-12 Driver Education Snapshot
For the second consecutive year, less than 50% of the eligible Wisconsin public school districts offered instruction in driver education. During the 2011-2012 school year, 177 of the 378 districts reported they offered driver education instruction. This reflects a 2.4% decline from the previous year. Wisconsin has 424 public school districts, however 46 of these are not eligible to provide driver education because they are school districts without high schools. Therefore, in Wisconsin 378 school districts could offer driver education.
