The Senate Transportation Committee is working
on a draft of a bill (in committee bill – doesn’t have a number – not on
the Web yet) that would change the recall of a learner’s permit or junior
operators license for speeding, add a nighttime driving restriction for junior
operators, repeal the current restriction from transporting family members
during the first three months by a junior operator and probably make using a
seatbelt a primary law by junior operators. The Committee will review a
revised draft of the bill on Friday, February 16 at 9: a.m.
