Goals

The NSSP student leaders strive to:

• Empower students with encouragement, resources and leadership skills to carry out constructive and continuing highway safety programs in their schools and communities.
• Provide leadership roles and a channel through which students can express their thoughts and ideas concerning safety and the well-being of human life by having a national elected executive board of officers for the high school and college divisions.
• Provide an opportunity for the students and adults from across the nation to network at an annual youth conference every July.
• Recognize those students and youth organizations that are doing outstanding work and educating others about highway safety through peer education and youth advocacy.
