This was received from Reggie Flythe a few minutes ago and I received a phone call from Gene Causby as well. Pay close attention to the last section which authorizes LEA’s to charge up to $75 for students to take the course. The proposal is to reduce our funding by 8.7 million and to make up the difference by charging students $75.00 to take the course. Mr. Causby suggested that we have some reasonable parents to make some calls to their representatives and senators. I am sure you can see, as we can, all kinds of problems in collecting this fee and there will be many parents that cannot afford $75.00 for driver education.
