Must be a current member of NCDTSEA and have been active for at least five years.
Must be an active driver education teacher and/or behind-the-wheel teacher or currently supervising a driver education program and have been involved in these activities for the past seven years.
Must complete the NCDTSEA Teacher of the Year application
Must submit answers to two of the six questions attached to the application. Questions should be answered in fifty words or less.
Must submit a 5-8 minute media program or PowerPoint presentation indicating involvement in driver and traffic safety education
The North Carolina teacher of the year winner will:
represent North Carolina at the 2010 ADTSEA Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.
be recognized as one of the 2010 ADTSEA Teacher of Excellence Award winners.
receive a commemorative plaque and a $250.00 check from AAA at a special ceremony.
be recognized at a recognition luncheon.
receive from ADTSEA a voucher for your conference registration
and receive $1,000.00 toward the expenses from NCDTSEA for attending the 2010 ADTSEA National Conference.
Your application and other required materials MUST be received on/or before February 1, 2010.
