 I am seeking the office of Secretary/Treasurer of ADTSEA because I want to:

• Ensure that the meetings are recorded accurately
• Ascertain that all member receive copies of the minutes
• Create an online record of the minutes for membership viewing at any time
• Maintain accurate financial reports

My qualifications are: 

• Lynchburg City School Health and Physical Education Instructor 1978 to present 
• Physical Education Department Chairman 1990 to present 
• Driver Education Instructor 1977 to present 
• VADETS President 2000-2001 for SERA/ADTSEA 
• VAHPERD (Virginia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance) 1978 to present. Committee Chairman for the Recreation Division for three years and Membership Chairman for several consecutive years 
• AAHPERD (American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance) 1977 to present
• VEA/NEA (Virginia Education Association/National Education Association) 1978 to present
• Nominee for National Honor Roll’s Outstanding American Teachers 2005-2006

My goals: 

• To move ADTSEA to the forefront in life-saving traffic safety 
• To use technology to increase ADTSEA membership and make the driving public more knowledgeable to traffic safety 
• To involve ADTSEA in the legislative arena
