Show that you support parents in their efforts to keep teens safe behind the wheel. Choose a button and then copy and paste the code into your Facebook or MySpace page, Web site, portal home page, or blog. If you have JavaScript enabled, you may also use the Copy Code button. Widget
The "Parents Are the Key" widget is an interactive quiz to test your safe teen driving know-how. Place the widget on your Web site, portal home page, or blog to help others learn why parents are the key to safe teen driving. ADTSEA Conference News
The 2011 ADTSEA Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii is fast approaching. If you have not registered or made your hotel reservations please do so soon. For more information about the conference please click here.
At the General Session 3 on Tuesday morning at 9:00 am, Administrator Strickland will be speaking on a National Perspective in Traffic Safety. He will be joined by Mr. Mike Calvin, Vice President of AAMVA, who will address the Department of Motor Vehicles role in driver education.
During this session we will be joined by Dr. David Manning, Region 9 Administrator from San Francisco, CA., Mr. Jim Wright, Driver Education Program Specialist, NHTSA, Washington, DC., and Ms. Lee Nagano, Highway Safety Manager, Hawaii Department of Transportation.
You are encouraged to participate in a question and answer session at the conclusion of this session.

Update on Allen Robinson, ADTSEA CEO
As many of you may already know, Allen Robinson, ADTSEA CEO underwent an operation for a triple heart bypass on May 4, 2011. The surgery and his recovery have gone very well. His recovery is expected to take at least six weeks. He has begun working in the office this week for about an hour each day and is expected to increase his work to two hours each day starting next week. Allen and Becky Robinson extend their appreciation to all of you for sending flowers and cards and for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
ADTSEA to Participate in Strategic Plan Development for National Driver Education Standards
Past President, Chuck Lehning will represent ADTSEA on the Novice Teen Driver Education and Training Administrative Standards, Strategic Plan Development Project at the Association Advisory Committee meeting on June 13-14, 2011 in Herndon, Virginia. The Strategic Plan is designed to set the objective and priorities of the driver education community for improving the effectiveness of driver education for the coming decades. Mississippi Teen Wins National Contest for Best Distracted Driving Radio AD
NEW YORK, June, 2011 -- A ninth-grader at Sumner Hill Junior High School in Clinton, Mississippi, has been named the winner of the first JST DRV National Distracted Driving PSA Competition, sponsored by the National Road Safety Foundation and NSSP (National Student Safety Program), the youth arm of the American Driver & Traffic Safety Education Association. As most of you have seen, the ADTSEA website has undergone significant changes within the last month. If you have not visited the ADTSEA website recently we encourage you to do so. Previous months of the ADTSEA monthly eNewsletter are easier to find on the new website. Please feel free to browse the eNewsletter archive.
