After fifteen years of cooperatively working through the Highway Safety Center
at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, we will be transitioning to a new
location due to the changes within the University and the needs of ADTSEA. The
ADTSEA office will now work in cooperation with Highway Safety Services, LLC.
Highway Safety Services, LLC is also located in Indiana, PA. Dr. Allen Robinson
will continue to serve as the ADTSEA CEO. Our web address and services will NOT
change.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced a September summit to address the dangers of text-messaging and other distractions behind the wheel. In late September,enior transportation officials, elected officials, safety advocates,law enforcement representatives and academics will convene in Washington, DC to discuss ideas about how to combatdistracted driving.
I am pleased to forward the recently published Novice Teen Driver Education and Training Administrative Standards. This new document represents the best efforts of professionals from a wide spectrum of interests to provide guidance that will enhance both the uniformity and professionalism of driver education across the Nation.
